He may be known for his stint on American Idol, but for 60 lucky kids in Hagerstown, they'll remember him for his big heart thanks to his fan-based group "Taylor's Angels." It's made up of 60 kids from Girls Inc. and Big Brothers/Big Sisters and they've got free tickets to Friday night's concert. Taylor Hicks captured the hearts and minds of 63 million viewers who kept him in the American Idol competition, eventually voting him as America's new Idol. Now he's bringing his talent and his "soul patrol" to the Maryland Theatre. He was greeted by Mayor Bob Bruchey who presented him with a key to the city of Hagerstown. Even though the mayor is excited to have Taylor Hicks here, there are a bunch of other girls who are more than excited to see him in town. Taylor Barnhart says, "I'm excited because we are going to be able to see a real live concert, and we are going to be able to see the actual person who is going to sing and not on TV." "I watched Taylor Hicks on American Idol. I've been waiting to meet him for a long, long time," says Naomi Smith, who also came out for the performance.
