The Soul Patrol isn’t making a stop in Dewey Beach after all.

Taylor Hicks’ July 3 concert in Dewey Beach has been canceled because he decided to do an unspecified "promotional opportunity" instead, says Vikki Walls, who booked the Bottle & Cork concert. About 350 tickets were sold.

Ticketmaster customers will be automatically reimbursed. Those who ordered through Booksandcoffee in Dewey Beach will have to go back to the store for refunds.

Even with Hicks’ cancellation, "American Idol" fans will still see some of their favorite singers in Delaware this summer.

Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry perform at the Delaware State Fair in July and Bucky Covington visits the Bottle & Cork in August.

This is the second beach concert canceled this season. A Beach Boys show scheduled for July 1 at the Baycenter was dropped because of low ticket sales.
