While at the American Music Awards, 'American Idol' winner Taylor Hicks told AOL Music he'll be taking his self-described 'modern whomp' on the road. "End of February, early March," he said.

Besides the track 'Modern Whomp,' Hicks is especially excited to perform certain cuts live, such as 'Runaround.' "It's going to be good," he said. "The Bryan Adams tune that I was given that was written for Ray Charles is going to be fun to play live."

As for the sound of the album, Hicks, who worked with Matt Serletic, said, "It's Taylor Hicks through and through."
